Dr Melanie Rogers

Melanie graduated in 2007 with a Master’s degree from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth. Since then she has worked in several practices across the south of England, developing her passion – helping and empowering women to have positive pregnancy and birth experiences.

“Whether a home birth or a C-section, my goal is to support all our mum-to-be’s bodies during this time to promote optimal baby development, a more comfortable pregnancy, birth and recovery post birth”. For more information about how Chiropractic care can support pregnancy, click here

Originally from Berkshire near Watership Down, Melanie and her family moved to Banbury. Following the arrival of their daughter in early 2015, Melanie returned to practise as a locum, providing high quality Chiropractic care in clinics across Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire and London. She decided to start up Active Family Chiropractic as a mobile Chiropractor around Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding counties but enjoyed it so much she wanted to expand and set up her own clinic as well. Since February 2017, AFC has been based at the Ashcroft Therapy Centre in Deddington where she has thoroughly enjoyed providing Chiropractic care to the local community.

“I absolutely love helping clients of all ages improve their quality of life through decreased pain and improved mobility and function. I love educating and inspiring people to understand that well-being isn’t just about symptoms but optimal functioning, which is achieved through the choices we make in our lifestyles.”

Melanie’s interest in Chiropractic support during pregnancy and childhood was enhanced by her own personal experiences of family life, and now she delights in helping children of all ages, working closely with families to optimise their health and potential. When she gets time for herself, Melanie is into running, having completed 2 half marathons and a duathalon, and has recently achieved her goal of  completing a Triathlon at the end of July! 🙂

“Keeping healthy and active is such an important part of our lives – to use a well known quote: ‘health is a great wealth; It should never be taken for granted, and should always be something we do’.”

Without the excellent care I have had from Mel, I would have been bed bound with severe SPD at 24 weeks pregnant. The progress, support and commitment in keeping me mobile has been incredible and I am so very grateful for your care and positive outlook. A million thank you's!

Dr Melanie is great! A very thorough examination. The explanation of what the problem is and the process of correcting it was extremely helpful. I would recommend Dr Melanie to anyone looking for a very caring chiropractor.

My family and I feel 100% safe in Mel’s hands. She is knowledgeable, caring, and has a great sense of humour too! She is a wonderful chiropractor and we would highly recommend her.

Mel was able to get to source of my problems after one visit, and recommends a course of exercises and adjustments that keep the problem in check.

Having suffered with aches and pains for several years thinking I just had to ‘put up with it’ as part of the ageing process, a friend recommended I contact Melanie at Ashcroft therapy Centre and I’m glad I did.  After a consult and several weeks of adjustments I am pain free.  Not only that but I’ve noticed simple acts such as walking, sitting down and getting out of bed have become easier as well. Many thanks.
